ilert

Turn Level alerts into ilert incidents, run the assigned escalation policy, and close the incident when Level clears it.

Overview

An active Level alert opens an ilert incident. When Level resolves the alert, ilert closes the incident.

How it works

  • Create incidents immediately.

An active Level alert opens a matching incident in ilert through a webhook.

  • Use the on-call policy already in place.

ilert handles routing and escalation from the alert source you assign.

  • Close the loop automatically.

When Level resolves the alert, ilert closes the associated incident.

Set up the integration

  • Create a Level alert source in ilert.

Assign the escalation policy and copy the generated webhook URL.

  • Create the webhook in Level.

Send both Alert active and Alert resolved events to the ilert URL.

  • Test both directions.

Trigger a test alert, confirm the incident, then clear it and verify closure.
