Why Level

Why teams choose Level.

Automation depth, built-in remote, and pricing you can read online. Judge it against your own fleet.

“Level gives us the power for only a few technicians to manage hundreds of endpoints from anywhere in the world with real-time insight.”

What teams notice first.

Each advantage is visible on real devices from day one.

  • Automation that runs the routine work

Trigger on a schedule, alert, or webhook, then run PowerShell, Bash, and Python across tagged devices.

  • Remote control inside the console

Start an in-browser session from the device list and run background commands without interrupting anyone.

  • Organization that holds at scale

Group by client, site, or role, then scope permissions, reporting, and automations to each group.

  • Pricing you can read online

Transparent per-device pricing, month-to-month billing, no annual commitment, and no sales call.

The pattern shows up quickly.

Faster scripts, cleaner workflows, and support that stays close to the work.

  • “I’ve spent a lot of time looking for a good RMM, mainly with a focus on automation. I tried Atera for a while. It wasn’t terrible, but like many RMMs, it never really clicked for me. I also looked into NinjaOne, but the interface didn’t win me over, and their aggressive sales tactics were a major turn-off. I’ve always worked with Kaseya in the past, but let’s be honest, it’s overkill and messy for smaller MSPs. While testing a bunch of new tools, I gave Level a shot, and I’m glad I did. What stood out immediately was the onboarding. I had a brief call with the CEO, Jacob, who personally activated my account. Super chill, no hard sell. He just said, “Here’s your account, go test it out,” and that was it. Plus, the first 10 devices are free, no commitment needed, which is a breath of fresh air coming from the constant promos and sales pressure of other vendors. Now the product itself? Really satisfying to use. The automation features are simple yet powerful, and the UI is clean and intuitive. It’s exactly what I was looking for: an RMM, not an all-in-one PSA, ticketing, documentation, and billing platform that tries to do everything but excels at nothing. Thanks, Level.”

  • “Like others have said, our team is also really enjoying Level. It’s very refreshing to have a super modern and sleek interface, great Linux support, and a development team that actually listens to feedback. It’s also really exciting to see the new features roll out basically every month.”

  • “We switched to Level in February from another RMM and are super happy. The whole platform is modern, fast, offers a ton of advanced features, and is very actively developed. Monitoring is super flexible because it allows us to use our own scripts as monitors and do things based on the results. The API is quite advanced and is extended constantly.”
    pjoerkr/msp · Reddit
  • “We came from Nagios and wanted to improve the whole environment with automations and script checks. Level’s script checks solved so many different checks that the other systems we looked at would require much more work. Onboarding around 150 endpoints was straightforward and easy. The tag-based policy and automations are well built. We monitor many APIs and specific services, and Level hits the spot for us.”

  • “Level’s in-browser remote access is very good. If you need interactive remote access without a helper app, Level is a much better choice.”

“Level has brought us the multi-OS management software we need at a reasonable price. Level provides remote control, behind-the-glass support, patching, alerting, and scripting in a compact deployable agent. Its modern UI makes it easy to work with systems individually and in bulk. Definitely a key piece in our management stack.”

“Level is such a breath of fresh air in the RMM space. The GUI looks clean, intuitive, modern, and is very responsive. They have deployed new features at an impressive rate. We’ve had very helpful communication with their support team, and they are responsive and happy to talk about their roadmap and listen to our input.”

Build the workflow once.

Then let it run every time the trigger fires.

Automation and scripting

Chain multi-step workflows off a schedule, alert, or webhook, and pause for technician approval when needed. Write in PowerShell, Bash, or Python, run live across tagged devices, and retain every execution in the audit log.

“One thing I like about Level—I mean, I love the platform—is that if an automation is just querying data for a device and the device is offline, but that data exists in the Level datastore, it still runs and updates things. I set up an automation to check what version of Windows (10 or 11) devices were running so we could work out which devices would upgrade to Windows 11. It did everything, even with offline hosts, saving a lot of bandwidth. This is awesome and appreciated—I know it’s appreciated by your data monitor, too.”

“You’ll really like the tag concept. You can automate so much with tags, and it’s really easy to build. For onboarding, once I get the agent installed, I apply a few tags and things happen: AV is installed, patch policies are put in place, and basic monitoring and alerting are added. Anything custom, you can write yourself and drop into those same mechanics. It's just so damn satisfying to add a system, add a few tags, and boom—onboarded with zero effort. It's made device onboarding so easy. I get new devices online with ScreenConnect, then install Level from backstage. Once in Level, I add a few tags, and I'm done onboarding a device. 🙂”

I checked out the docs—nothing popping up wanting to schedule a sales call—signed up for the trial, again no nonsense, and put in a support ticket. We've even developed new support plans for all kinds of users to get the most out of it. It's enabled us to become much more streamlined. To be honest, it's refreshing to still find, even after all these years, a service provider that listens and provides such good support. The product has gone from strength to strength since we started with it, with none of the bloat of nearly all other RMMs. It's a lot less effort to automate things in Level than in the other systems we've used. If anyone hasn't tried it yet, remote desktop for Linux is awesome. It's fast and worked the first time on a Raspberry Pi, Ubuntu running on an old iMac, and Zorin OS on an old PC that couldn't run Windows 10. “Those new event monitors actually help me. I cobbled together an automation that watches every minute for Office application crashes. If it detects one, it sends a message to the user: “We detected a crash. Do you want to start a repair of your Office apps?” If they select yes, it automatically starts a quick repair. Moving from Datto RMM to Level has been a really nice change. If I needed automation help beyond what was prebuilt by Datto/Kaseya, they just threw their hands up—it was basically “not my problem.” Being able to reach out to you, collaborate, and benefit from your deeper knowledge of the tool has been very helpful to my team. “The file-copy feature—I love that too. I don't have to keep maintaining a Chocolatey server now because, even with the packages I've made, I can just upload and copy them over with the RMM. That's one less possible security issue we have to maintain in perpetuity. I like it enough that I don't even think I'm going to demo Ninja, which I said I was going to do. We had done a lot of automation in our old RMM, but it just wasn’t very good at it. This makes it easier. All of my automations were self-contained scripts, so I’ve had to break them up to use more of the logic flow you use, but I’m not complaining. There was a moment when it really clicked, and between the old scripts and modifying some new ones, I’ve just been going to town.”

Some others may have more “features,” but if you have to use an admin panel every day, I prioritize a clean interface, speed, and things just working when needed—which is what Level brings. “We've been in business for over 30 years, and I've been a software developer for over 40. We've never had anything as good as Level to look after our clients. I even managed a remote desktop session from my iPhone to the Zorin OS desktop. It opens up a big world of options for using older PCs while keeping them up to date with Linux and Level.”

“I think the contrast from the RMM I have right now is pretty sharp. It’s light years ahead in the GUI, and using tags is so much easier. When I did the Ninja demo, I got lost within the first five minutes. I think you guys hit the point of what you need to do and do it well.”

“One of the things that caught my attention about your product is the workflows. The automations you can build look extremely powerful. We love the real-time data. The information is concise, simple, but it's everything that we need. It's great compared to every other product we've seen so far. I can attest that the support is top-notch. In the last week, I spoke with Josh and Quintin several times. The last fix was deployed to production within an hour, I want to say. That was really great to see, and so far it’s been great.”

I even managed a remote desktop session from my iPhone to the Zorin OS desktop. It opens up a big world of options for using older PCs while keeping them up to date with Linux and Level.”

“I'm actually quite blown away. Compared with the market, you've taken bits from Ninja Remote and other vendors and made something that looks beautiful and easy to navigate. So, well done. It's great.”

“Nothing jumps to mind, but I can definitely see that this is a much more mature automation platform. Multiple triggers on their own are a big deal, rather than having to jump through hoops to get filters to work properly.”

“It's a great piece of software—kind of something I didn't know I needed until I found out that I really needed it. So I'm glad I came across it.”

“Level's more modern approach, using WebRTC in a web-based interface, is absolutely fantastic. The functionality is stellar, so we've been really happy with it. We really like the transparency and your support too. Being able to reach a human being every time I've had to reach out is awesome.”

“Working again. Thank you for all you do. Again, this is the best RMM I've ever worked with, and I've worked with about five of them.”

“The tool is super, super powerful. It is insane to see all the different options and filters and tags and all the automation setups. I see endless possibilities here. That is super, super cool. It looks super cool. I love it.”

“Everything I've seen looks good, especially the price—it's really attractive. I'll contact Ninja RMM and confirm that we can cancel in a month or two, and then I'm gonna start testing this on the new laptops we have.”

“So far, I love your product and the roadmap. It feels like you guys and gals are putting some serious work and thought into it. The UI is snappy, and I could not find anything to complain about for now, which is rare, haha.”

“I’ve used a few RMMs, but this is the first time I’ve ever had onboarding support. It’s always been, ‘Here you go’—unless you pay a couple thousand, and then they’ll help you.”

“I like that Level supports Linux because I’m a Linux user. I don’t run Windows at all; I use Linux and Mac on my own systems. With people becoming more dissatisfied with Windows, I like being prepared for the day a customer asks, ‘Could we run Linux?’”

“I love the way the Level interface updates itself in real time.”

“I want to make sure I’m working with a product that, as I grow, is capable of growing too. Clearly, you guys are on top of everything there. I opened a support ticket without much information, but it seemed like they linked up my email address, saw the logs, and gave me specific next steps. Instead of the usual level-one questions, they already seemed to know what was happening. I’ve been in IT for a while, and that response was really impressive.”
GeorgeForgeon Technologies LLC
“It definitely has a lot over Pulseway. There are a lot of similarities, so we wouldn't be reinventing the wheel when setting up workflows. It would give us more granularity over targeting specific things that Pulseway couldn't do effectively, so I think it's definitely worth it.”
GregShipley Energy
“I’d say Level wins out over Ninja at the moment, but that’s from a technical perspective.”
HamishTexaport
I appreciate that.”

“What's the catch? Because this is way too good to be true. And I've been doing this for 22 years, so it's not as though I'm a rookie. I've been looking for a unicorn like this for a while.”

“I really like the remote-control functionality. It's very responsive, and it's cool that it gives you that tool palette in the right-hand column, which I really like.”
JoshYavar IT Services
“I really like what I see. It’s no-frills and also extremely flexible—as flexible as you want it to be. Out of the box, a lot of this stuff is pre-baked in, and that would save us so much time. Like, so much time.”
JoshuaEleet Technologies
KeithLevel 3 Technologies
“Everything else about Level is 2nd to none. It’s a great blend of technical and simplicity that I know small IT shops will appreciate. Man, you guys need to stop being to good and quick at your job… 😊 Setting the bar high for everyone else. LOL Thank you, sir! Your team so far has been amazing. Please don’t ever change what and how you do business there.”

“I also had a very positive experience with the API, which is functional, easy to use, and well documented. Overall, the platform feels clean, fast, and very practical for day-to-day operations.”

“You have convinced me today that I can trust your technical support. let me say a few words of appreciation: automation, I think it's done very well, the presence of AI in the support chat, very useful.”

“The patching thing was so stupidly easy. You just click these buttons. Poof, it just works.”

“The learning curve is so much shorter than any other RMM I’ve ever used. You can have a tech who knows nothing about it jump right in, and they know exactly what they’re doing.”

“That was another thing that I really liked about ConnectWise. I’ve never seen a tool that can do so much. This is close, don’t get me wrong, and a whole lot easier to do. Writing things for ConnectWise, you needed a PhD.”

“Wow, I’m kind of taken aback—in a good way. I like the workflow UI and how you just run it down like a flowchart. I’ve got countless hours in N-able’s RMM, and it could be so much more simplified. For efficiency and power, there’s just so much more here that I haven’t seen anywhere else. I’m enjoying it.”

“Behind-the-scenes access was one of the biggest reasons I recommended Level. We get tickets where we’d otherwise have to interrupt the user, but we can go into the terminal and make changes without interrupting them. It was one of my favorite features.”

“After about 20 hours of trying things and building automations, I can conclude that I very much like how Level approaches RMM. It is—from what I can tell—the most modern solution and the one with the most potential. I know almost all of your competitors' RMM products and have trialed them all. Level is the most promising right now.”
PascalPBK Solutions
“I’m liking pretty much everything I can see, and I mean that in all sincerity. You’ve crafted a very intuitive product that isn’t bloated by so much other crap. It seems laser-focused on the key things, and I think you’ve really demonstrated that in the demo. Thank you for not trying to reach for every other shiny object and throw it in. I mean that.”

“What drew me to Level was the automation and the interface. It’s clean and simple. I don’t need an overly complicated RMM platform—it just needs to work and actually do patch management, which Syncro does not do very well right now.”
SamuelSwift Underground
“It’s clear as day that Level is leaner and less bloated. I go all the way back with ConnectWise and think, ‘This feels like 2005.’ Ninja feels like 2015. With Level, I’m like, ‘Okay, this is 2025.’”

“I think the contrast from the RMM I have right now is pretty sharp. It’s light years ahead in the GUI, and using tags is so much easier. When I did the Ninja demo, I got lost within the first five minutes. I think you guys hit the point of what you need to do and do it well.”

“I introduced Level to the business I work for, Passante, about two years ago. We bought 68 endpoints on it, and I've been quite happy. I want to try it out with some freelance clients through another business outside of work.”

“If I’m honest, I love it. I think it’s good and intuitive. The automation piece is good. If we haven’t got full-time developers, it’s easy to build logical steps and group things together, which can be quite powerful. In terms of pricing, it seemed quite transparent.”

“Other than my minor gripes... kudos to you and your team!! You've done an amazing job! It's almost like a sysadmin built this. :) It's nice to finally see a product that is simple and just works. I've worked with many RMM tools, and they are almost always cluttered, inefficient, and poorly designed. All of the other companies spend their money on marketing.”
TravisPacolet Milliken
“One of the things that caught my attention about your product is the workflows. The automations you can build look extremely powerful. We love the real-time data. The information is concise, simple, but it's everything that we need. It's great compared to every other product we've seen so far. I can attest that the support is top-notch. In the last week, I spoke with Josh and Quintin several times. The last fix was deployed to production within an hour, I want to say. That was really great to see, and so far it’s been great.”
TravisPacolet Milliken
“One thing I like about working with you and the team is that you are responsive and engaged. We will work through the little things together.”
WayneExisor
“It seems very customizable, and it seems like you give us a lot of control, which is a rare thing these days. Most everything else only lets you do what it tells you to do, so this is really cool.”
WilliamCustomer testimonial
“Honestly, the biggest thing I’m looking at is that you run these things instantly. No RMM platform I’ve ever seen can perform like that. Even if it’s a quick action, not on a schedule, it will take between zero and ten minutes just to start running, and there’s no control over that.”
